July 2 Edition

"5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
Birthdays this week include: Janice Thompson (July 3), Tyler Attwood (July 3).  Happy belated birthday to Marty Gill (June 26).
Happy anniversary to: Sharon and Brad Davis (July 1), Tammy and Tommie Green  (July 1), Agnes and Frank McClellan  (July 4), Melinda and Danny Huddleston  (July 7).
We hope everyone has an excellent Fourth of July this week.  It's dangerously dry, so please take no chances with the fireworks.  It's not worth it.
Revival begins at the Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church on July 22 at the morning service with Rev. Lonnie Burks preaching. The revival will be held on the 23 - 25 at 7 p.m.
The All School Reunion is this Saturday starting at 10am in the cafeteria of the WSCC.  All former students, faculty and staff are invited.  Let's have a great crowd this year like we have in the past few years!

We're losing Pat and Rita Parham later this month and they move back to Oregon.  The Parhams have lived here for 25 years, and Pat is the son of late store owner Kendrick "Tarpey" Parham and a descendant of J. J. T. Kendrick who opened the first store in New Edinburg in 1860..  We'll hate to lose them as neighbors and friends, but wish them well.

If you have items of interest for this column, please get them to me by Monday for inclusion in that week's column.  Go Eagles.
