There will be a baby boy shower for Heather and Chris Van Duren on Sept. 8th at 6pm. in the Macedonia Church fellowship hall.

Visitors to the New Edinburg Museum this past weekend were Gail (Huddleston) Crater and Don Huddleston from Tennessee.  Donated to the museum last week were several notebooks and cotton logs belonging to the late Ed Smith.  Apparently, Ed was the go-to guy in this town if you needed a loan.  Thanks to Jerry Langford for providing these fascinating documents.

New Edinburg First Baptist Church continues renovations with a new paint job that really stands out.

The next quarterly meeting of the West Saline Community Center will be September 3rd at 7pm.

Due to the fire behind Bo McClellan's house and the dry conditions, we're back under a burn ban until a lot more rain falls.  Ironically, the fire last weekend was started by lightning.

The Burks-Briant Reunion was held last Saturday at the West Saline Community Center with about 40 people in attendance.

We Eagles beg to inform you that a new addition to the New Edinburg Museum is in the form of something I had misplaced for a long time: an Eastern Star monitor that belonged to the late Mary Frey and was given to me by John Stewart years ago. It's in nearly perfect condition. Visitors to the Museum last weekend were: Joanna McClellan, Phoenix McClellan, Bo McClellan, Dale Williams, and the Bakers: John, Helen, Daniel, Maria, Brooklyn, Alyssa, Sissy, Rachel, Christopher, Trey, Philip, and Jenny, plus others who didn't sign the register.
