I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. We're warming up here with gorgeous weather all week and into the foreseeable future. Snow totals in this area last week ranged from 3.5 to 5 inches, and it took a couple of days for back roads to completely clear.
County Line Fire Department and the Forestry Department responded to a big grass fire on County Line Rd. last Sunday. Fortunately, it was quickly handled.
Mrs. Jean Parrott, secretary of the New Edinburg Fire Department, reports this year's fire dues are coming in. Paying fire dues to your nearest fire department will reduce your home insurance and it only costs $25 a year, so if you're interested then contact. Mrs. Parrott.
New Edinburg Baptist Church hosted a bridal shower Sunday afternoon for Meredith Steelman. Meredith, the fiancee of Matthew Gill, was attended by many friends and family. The couple will wed on March 26th at Kingsland Missionary Baptist Church and then reside in New Edinburg.
