Prayer list this week includes: Bob Kleinbeck, Max and Lorene Dyer, Frank and Agnes McClellan, Amy Abeyta, and the family of Ina McCollough Spears.
Rick St. John and Gloria Quimby took a week long trip into Kansas and Oklahoma where they visited two antique tractor and equipment shows and the Will Rogers Memorial in Clairmore, OK. Rick and I agree that Will Rogers was probably one of the wisest Americans of the 20th century.
Remember that the NEHS all class reunion will be at 10am on July 9 at the West Saline Community Center in the cafeteria. Anyone who ever attended or taught at New Edinburg Schools and their families are welcome. It will be potluck.
The Clements-Stewart Hotel Building is open for tours every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 2pm to 6pm. After you've visited there, come to the old school house and see the New Edinburg Museum every Sunday afternoon from 1pm to 5pm.
This quarter's meeting of the New Edinburg Volunteer Fire Department was postponed due to the passing of Ina Spears, who was the mother-in-law of President Roy Chambers. The meeting will occur this Saturday morning at 9am in tandem with our monthly drill.
If you wish to donate to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, please bring any material items such as clothes, toys, canned food, etc to Kristen Skelton at McClellan's Country Store. Someone recently told me I should keep my opinions out of this column. Here's my opinion: someone should have been writing this column years ago so I wouldn't have to do it.
