July 15th Edition

Bobby Joe Clements passed away Saturday night.  He sounded more like Johnny Cash than Johnny Cash did.

Homecoming Services will be held at Mt Elba Missionary Baptist Church located on Mt. Elba Rd in New Edinburg, beginning at 10:30Am Sunday July 28th with a potluck lunch. Revival services will begin at 7:00PM Sunday July 28th- Wednesday July 31, 2013 . Michael Taylor, former New Edinburg Eagle will be the speaker for Homecoming and Revival . John Greenwood is the Pastor. Everyone is welcome.

The Wagnon family held their family reunion at the West Saline Community Center last Sunday.
There will be a benefit for Amy Pilkington Murphy (daughter of Annette Miller Luff) at the New Edinburg Community Center on August 10th. Amy is suffering from cancer at the age of 28.  It starts with a washer tournament at 2pm, $20 per person with a cash prize to the winning team. Deadline for entry is July 31st. Contact Jennifer Hendrix. At 3pm, there will be a Gospel Explosion with Faint Yet Pursuing (Beech Grove Church's youth praise band) and New Reason. At 5pm, there will be a BBQ at $10 per plate. At 6pm there will be a live auction, and at 8pm there will be a live band the Pennington Brothers.  Please everyone come to this worthy cause.
Welcome to the world Ms. Keely Grace Jackson who was born on July 7. She is the healthy daughter of Chris and LaTonya Jackson.
