Nov. 19 Edition

Psalm 23. I'll bet you all know it by heart.

Birthdays this week include: Melody Grice - Nov. 19, Brandon Pipes - Nov. 22, Deb Jones and Jim Thompson - Nov. 24.

Hello, all my dear readers, fans, detractors, and rabid followers. I trust you all had a good  time slaughtering any deer that dared present a rack. As we approach the holiday season, the Christmas lights are up all across town. Hats off to the Jarrett family and othets who take time to make this happen.

Santa will make an appearance at the West Saline Community Center on Dec. 1 from 2-4pm with hot chocolate and pictures of kids with that jolly old elf so bring your children. The WSCC is located in the old New Edinburg School.

Santa will return to the area again and be at the New Edinburg Community Center on Dec. 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, & 15th from 6pm until 7:30pm each night. Santa will be passing out goodie bags to the kids & kids can have their picture made with Santa. Also the night of the 8th , the center will be hosting a Community Christmas potluck dinner starting a 5pm. Everyone in the New Edinburg & surrounding areas are encouraged to bring your favorite dish of food and celebrate the season with a night of food, fellowship & the joy of the season. All you need to bring is a dish food. For more information call 870-510-6388.

Scott and Debbie (Grice) Temple visited the New Edinburg Museum last Saturday afternoon.

Please feel free to share items of interest with this column by Monday morning for inclusion in that week's paper. Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving. Go Eagles.
